Artec 3D Leo – a professional mobile handheld 3D scanner.
The Artec 3D Leo is equipped with two powerful processors and an internal battery, requiring no external power source or additional computer. This intelligent, ergonomic device can be held in your hand and freely scan any selected object anywhere. An internal accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass make the Artec Leo a portable handheld 3D scanner that can precisely determine its position in the environment, even differentiating between horizontal and vertical surfaces such as floors and walls. You can easily pause and resume scanning at any time. After resuming scanning, the Leo will pick up where you left off, adding new data to the existing project, and new scans will be matched to previous ones.
The Artec Leo 3D Scanner
allows for precise mapping of large surfaces, and when the device is brought closer to the scanned object, its intricate details. It can scan small, precise parts, the human body, cars, and even accident scenes.
This makes it often used:
- as a measurement tool in quality control, allowing for the detection and elimination of errors at an early stage of production;
- in industry: for example, in prototyping;
- in medicine: the scanner allows for full-body scanning and the creation of perfectly fitting prosthetics;
- for digitizing objects in computer graphics and games. The Artec Leo is equipped with a unique optical system combining a 3D camera and a color camera. This technology provides the most advanced texture mapping of the scanned object;
- in forensics and by insurance companies;
- in scientific projects;
- in reverse engineering procedures.
