How exciting is to see the polls showing that Obama is winning!
OBAMA IS WINNING! OBAMA IS WINNING! OBAMA IS WINNING!
This is the kind of NEWS we have to re-create.
These are the things we need to dwell about over and over and over again!
I’m so happy to know how much even our middle class Republican neighbors are going to benefit for this also!
I see great things for everybody, not just for us the Democrats! Bravo!
We all win when Obama WINS! And he is the winner!
Obama our 44th president of the United States of America!

Biden Lies in Palin Debate

Palin? She's one of us! She has an uncanny ability to cut straight across the Washington politi-speak and get to the heart of what really matters to the average person. She was personable, self-confident, articulate, knowledgeable, charismatic, accessible and above all, she wore her likable personality on her sleeve.

On the surface her delivery came off as a sort of homespun wisdom, Granny Clampett would be proud. But make no mistake, this was a masterful display of skills by a savvy politician destined for super stardom. Post debate polls are showing that based on the strength of her performance a large percentage of undecided voters viewing tonight's debate are now convinced she is ready to be Vice President of The United States of America, hardly the case prior to tonight.

Biden, though obviously on Valium or some sort of downer, appeared to have a firm grasp of facts until checking revealed that twice he misrepresented the truth (lied) regarding McCain's previous votes. In all he made 10 Biden Blunders (misrepresentations of fact) such as his statement that "Article I of the Constitution refers to the executive branch," when in fact it refers to the legislative branch. Even more scary, and what should make every true American shudder with fear is....

I'm not going to write him directly. Those emails get the delete right away.

Floridians best take note of the behavior of Charlie Crist. Upon election he immediately began to chase the VP position. He has neglected the issues he was hired by US, the people to do. The position of governor is NOT his to exploit for personal gain at such a critical time in the demise of many areas of Florida.

Someone tell him directly that WE the CITIZENS are watching him closely as he is attempting to manipulate the vote. How dare he challenge the votes of college kids and those who have lost their homes.

Someone tell him that unless he wants to become EX-Governor he better get with the program and GET TO WORK here and get his nose out of McCain's ass.

This is our last and final warning. We are watching you Crist. So far you've failed in everything you've attempted. You do have a chance to redeem.
Secondly, anyone who has been in battle and seen the shit that we see is not going to donate money to a man who has NEVER served with us or for us. Thirdly, As military personel we (The men in uniform) still cannot comprehend the hell that John McCain went through during his years as a P.O.W. and most definately will not support a man who didn't have the stones to fight for his country or even enlist. He has no experience and no understanding what the military of this nation needs to function. His idea's will get more of us killed. Bush has made mistakes, but he has the backbone needed to deal with these 3rd world pieces of shit. Obama has absolutely no place as Commander and Chief, he will cause this great nation to retreat in more ways then just the Iraq war. We will be attacked with 2 years if he becomes president and he would have no clue what to do. So you take your lies you ignorant asshole and cram them in your piehole you f--king maggot!!!!! A true american will vote for a true american...Vote for McCain a true American.

http://www.thenextright.com/eric-okeefe/fannie-scandal-enriched-obamas-friends

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have been put under direct federal government control. This is a major step in the most expensive financial scandal in U.S history. These two mortgage giants guarantee $5.5 trillion of debt. They fueled the recent housing boom riding an implied federal guarantee of their debt. They used creative leverage which ballooned their phantom profits, their management bonuses, and the ultimate losses to U.S. taxpayers -- which I predict will exceed $100 billion.

These organizations were classic rent-seeking companies; Fannie has a large headquarters on Wisconsin Ave. in Washington, D.C., because the source of their power and profits was Congress, not customers. They hired people for their political pull, not their financial acumen. And what we got was government-style extravagance, self-dealing, and ultimately a doubling of the publicly held debt of the United States.

This is a stunning financial development, and it should become a stunning political development. Of course Fannie paid the politically powerful from both parties, but they put their biggest dollars and biggest hires on the side of the biggest spenders.

Here is how much some of the winners profited from this scandalous operation, according to an insightful Wall Street Journal editorial:

Franklin Raines, CEO: $90,128,761 (1998-2003)

Jamie Gorelick, vice-chair: $26,466,834 (1998-2003)

Jim Johnson, CEO: $21,000,000 (1998 alone)

Who are these people? Let's ask wikipedia:

Franklin Delano Raines (born January 14, 1949 in Seattle, Washington) is the former chairman and chief executive officer of Fannie Mae who served as White House budget director under President Bill Clinton.

Jamie S. Gorelick (born May 6, 1950) is an American attorney and judicial officer who was Deputy Attorney General of the United States during the Clinton administration. She was appointed by former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle to serve as a commissioner on the bipartisan National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, which sought to investigate the circumstances leading up to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

James A. Johnson is a United States Democratic Party political figure. He was the campaign manager for Walter Mondale's failed 1984 presidential bid and chaired the vice presidential selection process for the presidential campaign of John Kerry. In the 2008 election, he is a member of the vice-presidential selection process for the presumptive Democratic nominee, Senator Barack Obama.

Raines was also a donor to Obama's 2006 U.S. Senate campaign.

Notice a pattern?

Let Obama know (everywhere)

E. J. Dionne Jr. It has been hard to remember lately that the country is in the midst of one of the most consequential presidential elections of our lifetimes.
The campaign is a blur of flying pieces of junk, lipstick and gutter-style attacks. John McCain's deceptions about Barack Obama's views and Sarah Palin's flip-flopping suggest an unedifying scuffle over a city council seat.
The media bear a heavy responsibility because "balance" does not require giving equal time to truth and lies. So does McCain, who is running a disgraceful, dishonorable campaign of distraction and diversion.
But Obama bears responsibility, too: His task is to remind Americans that the stakes in this election are far higher than the matter of who said what and when about Palin. He isn't doing that.
Yes, Democrats are a gloomy lot, inclined to see catastrophe around every corner and the other side as tougher, meaner and more manipulative. Imbibing this potion of false pride about Democratic virtue mixed with paranoia about the Republicans' dark genius only leads to defeat followed by glorious disillusionment.
Nonetheless, it's clear that Obama has lost control of this campaign. And he will not seize back the initiative with the sometimes halting, conversational and sadly reluctant sound bites he has been producing. The excitement Obama created at the beginning of the year has vanished, perhaps because his campaign (and, yes, many columnists) bought into the McCain campaign's demonization of the big rallies. Absurdly, McCain is now contesting the terrain of change -- and doing so at celebrity rallies of his own.
This moment eerily resembles the situation in 1988 when George H.W. Bush used his convention to define the campaign and never again ceded the agenda to Democrat Michael Dukakis.

Here's the problem: Few voters know that Obama would cut the taxes of the vast majority of Americans by far more than McCain would. Few know Obama would guarantee everyone access to health care or that McCain's health plan might endanger coverage many already have. Few know that Obama has a coherent program to create new jobs through public investment in roads, bridges, transit, and green technologies.
In short, few Americans know what (or whom) Obama is fighting for, because he isn't really telling them. And few know that McCain's economic plan is worse than President Bush's. As Jonathan Cohn points out in the New Republic, McCain would add $8.5 trillion in new debt over the next 10 years. It's McCain who should be on the defensive.
It should not be hard for Obama to use crisp, punchy language to force the media and the voters to pay attention to the basic issue in this election: whether the country will slowly continue down a road to decline, or whether, to invoke a slogan from long ago, we can get the country moving again.
One test in the coming weeks will be whether Obama continues to contest North Carolina.
In truth, he has paid too much attention to broadening the political map and not enough to nailing down the states he must win. But North Carolina is a state on the edge. Despite one outlying poll showing McCain with a big lead, most give him an advantage of only four to six points. If Obama does his job in framing a national message, this state should at least be competitive enough to force McCain to expend resources here.
But Democratic politicians say that won't happen unless Obama grabs the campaign back. "One of the criticisms is that he hasn't cut through all the Republican rhetoric to reveal in a clear and simple way what his plan is, which I believe would resonate with the electorate," says Jerry Meek, the Democratic state chairman. Voters, Meek says, "like a fighting spirit."
Rep. David Price, a Democrat who represents the Chapel Hill area, argues that Obama has "offered economic proposals with a lot of promise . . . but there has not been the direct personal connection that there needs to be." Obama "needs people to feel angry, he needs to get people to feel something is at stake."
McCain has shown he wants the presidency so badly that he's willing to say anything, true or false, to win power. Obama can win by fighting for what he believes. What he can't do is wait for the media to call McCain out -- although they should -- or expect voters to know he'll fight for them when they are not yet sure that he's willing to stand up for himself.

Palin Speech (at the RNC)

Unfortunately, She did nothing to win me over. Her regurgitation of the same old useless and divisive politics, condescending tone and bits of sarcasm only served to remind me of exactly why we need new leadership. So much for the high road.

She started to lose me the moment she reiterated her lie about turning down the money for the "bridge to nowhere". Everybody should know by now that she is lying about that.
She insults the intelligence of all Americans! Her speech was all down hill from there. Again, the usual low road that we all have come to despise in American politics. I was hoping for more from her, some glimmer of inspiration and promise of hope, but she's just more of the same. Fresh face, same tired old rhetoric.

Please help us SAVE our great nation, restore a global image of honor and dignity and preserve our Constitution, our liberties and our rights. Vote for Obama, because we can't afford more of the same.

I'm a patriotic American, and I approve this message.

McCain "betrays a disrespect for the office of the Presidency..." (LOSING TICKET)

...with his calls to throw Russia out of the G-8, not to mention his ditty about bombing Iran! But that's not the end my friends... Once again his own inexperience has betrayed him and he continues proving that he is incapable of leading this country by picking Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential candidate! This is an OBVIOUS pander which should enrage Hillary supporters and ALL women voters! Hillary supporters need to remember one thing, PALIN DOES NOT EQUAL HILLARY! While she MAY have the same genitalia as Hillary, the similarities end there! Her gender should be completely IRRELEVANT! When it comes to her politics AND her beliefs, she is certainly NOT HILLARY CLINTON!

McCain should be ashamed of his FAILURE to LEAD! He has simply followed the Karl Rove playbook once more in his attempt to use shock and awe as a method to take the wind out of the Dems. sails after their successful convention, and at every turn (including his choice of Palin) make blatant attempts to keep us divided so they can win.
IF THEY WIN... WE LOSE FOLKS!

WAKE UP!
He's only playing the "Gender" card to try to win over Hillary supporters. Remember though, PALIN IS NOT HILLARY! She can't even hold a candle to Hillary! Her 1.5 years as Governor of Alaska compared to Hillary's 35 years of fighting for you? Please! If you vote for McCain because of Palin, you're SPITTING on Hillary and all that she has worked so hard for! Think hard about that before you vote for 4 more years of Republican rule.

Now, I can wholeheartedly understand women's frustrations with Hillary being passed over as VP, but *THIS* should be taken as an insult to their intelligence and will be seen for exactly what it is, nothing more than blatant pandering.

Hillary would have made a good President, HOWEVER, her ideals and policies are very similar to Obama's. Elect Obama, and we will see some, if not most of the things Hillary was fighting for. Elect McCain, and we will see little (if any) of Hillary's vision. If you give a damn about the direction of this country, you will consider who HILLARY would want you to vote for. As she said in her speech at the DNC:

"I haven't spent the past 35 years in the trenches advocating for children, campaigning for universal health care, helping parents balance work and family and fighting for women's rights here at home and around the world, to see another Republican in the White House squander our promise of a country that really fulfills the hopes of our people.

And YOU haven't worked so hard over the last 18 months, or endured the last 8 years to suffer through more failed leadership!
No Way... No How... No McCain!
Barack Obama is my candidate and he MUST be our President!"

~Sen. Hillary Clinton

__________

The facts about Sarah Palin?
1) Degree in journalism
2) Former sportscaster in Alaska
3) City council member in town of little over 5,000 people
4) Governor of Alaska for 1.5 years
5) Extreme Right Politics
6) Former runner up as Miss Alaska (Beauty Contest)

Say what you want, but McCain's V.P. pick makes Obama look like a seasoned vet!

Political Website Idea (non-partisan) (USA)

Are you tired of plugging your nose when you vote against the other party’s candidate instead of for your party’s candidate?

Wouldn’t it be nice if the issues were fore-front, and not the cult of personality, or special interest group funds?

With technology maybe we can make a difference and cut through all this.

This is what can be done with internet technology.

Polls!
Free Exposure!

Polling stresses the issues, not the candidate if we control the question.

But what is new about polls? Aren’t the polls inaccurate too?
The idea of polls is nothing new. But maybe these poll sites are taking the wrong approach. There is no candidate behind the polls unless the poll is about the candidate.

But what if the polls were about what the candidate’s opinion on issues?
What if these polls on the candidate’s opinion were blind polls where you don’t know what candidate’s opinion you are voting on?

But let me explain about free exposure first. Every candidate wants free exposure. The candidates will get poll rankings based on the ratings of the answers by the voters. But keep in mind, the voters have no idea who’s opinion they are voting on until they have picked one of the opinion.

This is how it works.

First we need candidates. So we tell them about free exposure, and how it works. The candidates will register for a small setup fee.

Next we come up with a list of questions that the candidates must answer. They can change their mind as politicians do, but there is a record of the changes with a date stamp.

Then voters register, and are given a random selection of say 5 answers from 5 candidates to review. They can either rate each answer, and the top rating gets their vote, or they can just vote for one if they don’t wish to rate answers. They also can rate the question.

They have no idea who they are voting for, they are only saying that they agree with that candidate. Once they vote for that candidate’s answer, they then can see who the candidate is by being re-directed to the candidate’s profile.

If the voter is not satisfied with any answers, they can choose as many sets of answers as they want, but they must at least rate or vote for each set of answers.

Also a random candidate banner ad is displayed when the voter is voting so that candidates get free exposure.

As candidate’s answers are polled, the candidate gets ranked first by overall, then by party affiliation.

But what if the politician opens his mouth? Which of course means a lie?
I’m about to type a dirty word “Negative campaigning.” I know that it’s a dirty word, but it’s a necessary evil. Actually the lying politicians use that term only on their opponents ads. Without negative advertising, or critical opposition any candidate could just lie, lie, lie and get away with it.

So for each politician’s profile you can comment on the politician either negative or positive. But you can only comment if you are registered as a politician, activist, or voter.
A voter must vote on all the issues, before they can comment on any politician, except the politician that they voted for the best opinions.

If you register as an activist, you have your own profile, and can express opinions about the politicians, but voters can also comment. One credit towards a comment for each vote on an opinion.

Things to avoid:
Graphics of any kind, except approved photos of the candidates.
External web links.

I don’t have the time, money or skills to really launch this. I just have an idea. I know ideas are not worth much. I’m only hoping that maybe this could help dig us out of the situation we are in. I am a conservative before I’m a Republican. Surely many Democrats would be interested in this too. After all Hillary Clinton lost the primary to basically an empty suit in my opinion. Not that Hillary has a long list of accomplishments.
This is not about conservative or liberal, Democrat or Republican. In fact since liberals seem to have a stronger internet presence this might actually help liberals more than conservative causes. As long as the issues are central to the focus and the exposure is equal among all candidates, it’s fair.
